Canopy Antenna

Technology: We use Motorola Canopy as well as our own custom-built equipment. Each customer's situation is evaluated case by case to determine which equipment can get them the best possible service.

Speed: Our most basic entry plan is at least 6 times faster than dialup service. Our Express plan is faster than DSL and cable! And you don't have to have a phone line, cable, or satellite service to use our network!

Cost: First Texas Broadband is a fraction of the cost of other broadband internet providers. There are two big reasons for this. First, we design and manufacture much of our own equipment. Second, we are a Motorola Value Add Reseller and buy our Motorola equipment in huge quantities for the largest possible discounts. We are able to pass those savings on to our customers. This allows us to provide our customers with speeds faster than or equal to that of our competitors at a fraction of the cost.

Mounted Wireless Antennas

The wireless technology of First Texas Broadband connects to the Internet using a modem and antenna. First Texas Broadband's patented technology uses relay points (a device used to boost the Internet signal to your home or business) to connect your antenna and modem to the Internet gateway. Using relay points eliminates distance limitations of line based (DSL & cable) and tower based (traditional wireless) Internet access. First Texas Broadband can reach download speeds up to 3000kbps with a delay time of less than 50 milliseconds. First Texas Broadband owns all equipment so the customer does not need to purchase or maintain it. Wireless Internet by First Texas Broadband is priced competitively to a dial up account while delivering speeds that are up to 70 times faster. Setup fees can vary depending on the service plan you choose.

Lightning Protection

The First Texas Broadband antenna/modem is mounted on the roof, chimney, or eave (view example) of the customer's structure. Then an Ethernet cable (CAT5) is routed from the antenna/modem to the computer and is plugged into the network/Ethernet port.
